Retrospective Permission for Care Home

TP Editorial Team

We are pleased to receive planning permission from Birmingham City Council for the change of use of a former hostel into a home for supported living accommodation in Handsworth.

The application sought planning permission to regularise the existing use of Roseneath to provide supported living accommodation for adults who require short term living accommodation. The property has 32 bedrooms some with en-suite and others with shared washroom facilities. There are also shared spaces within the building including kitchens and meeting rooms. There is also a recreational garden area for residents to use.

We considered the proposal to be fully compliant with local and national planning policies and this was confirmed by the Council with the issuing of the permission.
