Outline Permission for Two Houses in Coventry

TP Editorial Team

Tyler Parkes is pleased to report our latest planning success for two residential dwellings in Longford, Coventry.

The scheme for two detached dwellings was submitted in outline, with details of the design and layout of the proposal considered at a later stage. Access was considered with the application and a sketch layout showed how the two dwellings would be accessed from the main road and sit appropriately within the plot without having an impact on nearby residential dwellings.

The application was recommended for approval by the planning officer, however, due to a large number of objections and a petition submitted by neighbours, the application was reported to Coventry City Council's Planning Committee for decision.

Laura Pohl, Planning Consultant at Tyler Parkes, addressed the Committee on behalf of our client, confirming that the scheme is compliant with all relevant planning policies and guidelines set out by the Council regarding separation distances.

The Committee subsequently agreed with our view and approved the application unanimously.
