‘Call for Sites’ Now On in South Worcestershire

TP Editorial Team

Worcester City, Malvern Hills and Wychavon District Council have issued a ‘call for sites’ to try to identify potential development sites suitable for future housing and employment. The assessment of sites will be used as evidence to feed into the South Worcestershire Development Plan (SWDP) review.

The SWDP review will need to take into account the proposed new standardised methodology for calculating housing need and all revised national polices and regulations, including the revised National Planning Policy Framework, anticipated in July 2018. The SWDP review will extend the plan period until 2041.

Details of any potential development sites need to be submitted by 5pm on 2 July 2018.
