Birmingham City Council opens 2019 ‘Call for Sites’

TP Editorial Team

Birmingham City Council has opened a new ‘Call for Sites’ to try to identify sites suitable for residential development now and in the future which will form part of the 2019 Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA).

The SHLAA is an evidence document which will help to inform the plan-making site allocation process.

The ‘Call for Sites’ is open until 31st May 2019, but the Council has confirmed that sites can be submitted at any time before then.

If you have any sites within Birmingham City Council’s local authority area that you consider might be suitable for residential development in the next 15 years we recommend submitting details for assessment in the SHLAA accordingly.

If you have any questions regarding the ‘Call for Sites’ or require assistance in making a submission, please do not hesitate to contact us.
