Permission for Children’s Care Home
We were recommended to our Client who contacted us regarding their proposal to change the use of a semi-detached house to a small care home for children. The proposal was to be our Client’s first such commercial venture and having no previous experience of the planning process they were uncertain of what would be involved.
We first met to discuss and fully understand the extent of our Client’s proposals and talk them through the planning process and possible scenarios before proceeding to submit the planning application on their behalf, supported by plans and a supporting planning statement prepared by us.
Throughout the planning application process, we provided regular updates to our Client regarding progress with their application, following liaison with the Council’s Planning Officer, to help allay any concerns and provide reassurance.
We were called upon to provide some further clarification regarding matters arising from the application consultation process by the Planning Officer and make minor changes to the proposed layout.
We are extremely pleased to report that planning permission was granted by the Council on 8th November 2019, with no onerous planning conditions imposed.
Our Client was understandably delighted with the outcome and in thanking us commented:
“I’d like to say a big thank you to you for doing such a swift job. Throughout the whole process you have been calm and very patient ….. I cannot thank you enough for doing this task for me in such a professional manner”.
