National Planning Policy Framework Update?

TP Editorial Team

On 8th June 2022, during the second reading of the ‘Levelling Up and Regeneration Bill’ in the House of Commons, Michael Gove, (the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities), responded to criticism about the lack of green commitments in the Bill with the statement: The national planning policy framework, that will be published in July, will say significantly more about how we can drive improved environmental outcomes”. If this timeframe is met, the revised National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) will be published a year after the last update of the document which was published shortly before Parliament’s summer recess, on 20th July 2021.

Keep an eye on our news pages for more updates on a revised NPPF.
