Promote land for development in the Black Country now!

TP Editorial Team

The review of the Black Country Core Strategy has been delayed.

According to the revised timetable, the Draft version of the renamed ‘Black Country Plan’ will now go out to consultation in summer 2021, rather than this autumn.

As a result, the four local authorities - Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton - are all calling for details of potential development sites to be submitted for consideration in a review of their Strategic Housing and Employment Land Availability Assessment (SHELAA). This evidence report will then be used to help select directions of growth and identify site allocations for development in the emerging Black Country Plan.

If you have any land which you would like to promote for development or redevelopment, details need to be submitted before the closing date of 20th August 2020. We would of course be happy to assist you in making any submissions; just give us a call and we can advise you in more detail.
