Solihull Local Plan Review Moves Forward!

TP Editorial Team

Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council has published a summary of representations received to the consultation on the Pre-submission version of the Solihull Local Plan. These will now be reviewed by the council and a decision made on if/when to submit the plan in its current form for public examination.

It seems unlikely that any ‘Major Modification’ requiring a further round of public consultation will be made at this stage. Instead, we anticipate that the council will submit the plan as drafted, together with all the evidence and representations submitted to the pre-submission consultation, to the Secretary of State later in Spring 2021.

A timeline for the submission of the Local Plan to the Secretary of State for Examination by an independent Planning Inspector is expected soon. Watch this space for more details!
