South Worcestershire Development Plan delayed by a year!

TP Editorial Team

The three South Worcestershire authorities: Malvern Hills, Wychavon and Worcester City, have announced that consultation on their ‘final’ pre-submission version of the South Worcestershire Development Plan has slipped from October 2020 to an indicative date of October 2021.

The reason given for the delay is the impact of the Covid-19 restrictions which have impacted upon evidence gathering and technical work. It is anticipated that the plan would then be submitted to the Secretary of State for public Examination in February 2022 with adoption of the plan hopefully towards the end of 2022.
