Wolverhampton Local Plan Consultation

Wolverhampton City Council is now consulting on the Wolverhampton Local Plan (Regulation 19 - Publication Plan).

 

Following the abandonment of work on the review of the Black Country Core Strategy, Wolverhampton City Council becomes, in quick succession, the third authority to reach an advanced stage in the preparation of their own local plan.

 

The Publication Plan sets out the final version of the Local Plan before it is submitted to the Secretary of State for Examination in Public (EiP). The City Council previously consulted on its Draft (Regulation 18 stage) Local Plan in February to April 2024. The responses to that consultation have informed the preparation of the Publication Version of the Local Plan currently out to consultation.

 

The Publication Plan sets out a strategy for how much, where, and what type of development will take place in the Borough up to 2042 (the plan period), as well as providing planning policies and site allocations to guide changes and new development proposals.​

 

The consultation runs until Thursday 9th January 2025. Information on the consultation can be found here:
